Our Story
Napierala Consulting was founded as a sole proprietorship on July 1, 1998, by Matthew Napierala, P.E. The humble beginnings started by converting the basement of his residential home into an office with a telephone, computer, plotter, and copier.
In 2005 the sole proprietorship was restructured to a Professional Corporation with a minor name change, Napierala Consulting Professional Engineer, P.C. By producing an excellent product, Napierala Consulting grew in projects and employees steadily increasing its geographic area throughout the Eastern United States. As a result, in 2006 the firm needed space and moved to its current location at 110 Fayette Street in the Village of Manlius.
Napierala Consulting is a civil engineering firm that specializes in successfully navigating site development projects through the local, state, and federal regulatory processes. Project experience varies in both size and scope, ranging from a single-family septic design to a multi-million-dollar commercial development. Our team performs all tasks necessary to take a project from a conceptual phase through obtaining permits to a final construction phase.
In addition to land development projects, Napierala Consulting also performs municipal engineering services and environmental engineering services. Some tasks include hydrologic and hydraulic stormwater designs, sanitary sewer and septic system designs, domestic and fire supply water system designs, traffic study reports as well as environmental assessment phase 1 and phase 2 reports. Close relationships are developed between our employees and clients and as a result, many clients turn to Napierala Consulting repeatedly for their engineering needs.
Napierala Consulting maintains professional engineer licenses in New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Maryland. Of course, we are always willing to work outside of these areas and obtain licensure needed.

Despite the pressures of business, economics, deadlines, and a short construction season, an experienced focus is put on attention to details in order to produce a high-quality final product. We strive to add the appropriate amount of detail so that the owner, reviewer, and/or contractor can easily follow and understand our plans and/or reports.
