Napierala Consulting was involved with the design development phase through the construction phase for this 96,000 square foot manufacturing addition. Detailed design plans including grading, drainage, utility, landscape, and lighting were provided. The storm water mitigation impacts and floodplain impacts were significant obstacles that needed to be addressed. All permitting and approvals were obtained. During the construction phase; construction documents, construction assistance and weekly SWPPP inspections were provided.
Our team worked closely with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation for stormwater mitigation, sanitary sewer designs, and sewer pump station designs as well as water system designs. Our team also worked closely with the County for road designs. Coordination with a wetland consultant was imperative for this project to attain wetland permitting
Napierala Consulting worked with Ray Fogg Building Methods to provide detailed layout plans including grading, drainage, utility, landscape, erosion, and SWPPP were provided. This project required the Long Form of SEQRA. Permitting was acquired through zoom meetings. During the construction phase, construction assistance and weekly SWPPP inspections were provided. This manufacturing building and site amenities (parking, loading, ramps, sidewalks, curbs, etc.) were completed within a year and a half from start to finish.
This project includes an approximately 100,000 square foot milk processing facility on a 20-acre parcel within the Cayuga County Industrial Park. The site features include tractor-trailer unloading, loading, staging, storage and weighing areas as well as employee parking and pedestrian access. We worked with project team members through all aspects of the project including site feasibility, conceptual design, design development, zoning and site plan approval, environmental and local utility approvals.
With this project, the developer requested a fast turnaround of design and permitting services to both satisfy the future tenant, Pay Chex’s, immediate need for space and to beat the winter construction season. Within three (3) weeks of authorization to proceed, we presented the plans before the local planning board and received approvals in two meetings with the board. The project construction team was able to get the building enclosed before winter hit and the building was opened 9 months after project start.
